While the moss can be sprayed with a light mist in order to maintain its natural soft texture, without moisture added it becomes dry and brittle to the touch. A minimum level of humidity of 40-50% is required to maintain a healthy condition and appearance. 
• Moss walls should not be located near air conditioning or heating vents. Air temperature extremes will degrade the the preserved material. 

Moss walls are able to be installed within darker areas. Unlike living plants, a moss wall does not require light and water sources. A moss wall that is kept in a dark environment and provided proper humidity levels, will maintain its look and condition well.
