Started by Darcy Taylor in 1975, the business served the Denver Metro as an exterior landscape design and installation company, providing personalized services in residential and commercial locations. With a focus on annuals and perennials, Plant Escape built a reputation as the go-to provider for Landscape Enhancements. 

In 2018 the current team purchased the business and merged it with City Plantscaping - a company focused primarily on "plantscaping" or interior landscaping. The services included office plants, living walls, moss walls and even some faux (fake) plants.
